The public information session on the Edmonton Energy and Technology Park’s (EETP) Area Structure Plan changes saw a lot of positive feedback at Horsehill School on Wednesday, November 9th.
An encouraging 120 people were able to attend including Ward 4 Councillor Ed Gibbons. The session began with a presentation, followed by the opportunity for attendees to speak with City Planners regarding any questions they had. The public and other stakeholders were provided an information package containing a feedback sheet, highlights of ASP amendment and proposed maps, giving people an opportunity to learn and offer input.
The plan is currently under review to improve the arterial road network and zoning uses to make the area more attractive for investment. Feedback from the session has been collected and reviewed. Strong support was found for the new EETP Medium industrial area, and revised arterial roadway network. A number of inquiries were received regarding utility services, infrastructure investment, and the timing of development.
